Comprehensive hull insurance covers your yacht value against all maritime risks. It compensates for damage to your own yacht incurred on the water or during launching, loading, transportation or winter storage. Typical mishaps include running aground, collision, storm damage, theft, etc. The insurer pays for the cost of repair on a ‘new for old’ basis. In the case of total loss, the insurer will reimburse the agreed value of the boat.
